JAMA releases vehicle data for July

Tokyo -- JAMA, the Japanese vehicle manufacturers' association has released production and export data for the month of July 2010.
Automobile production in July 2010 was recorded as 866,762 units. Compared with the 742,247 units total recorded for the same month of the previous year, this is an increase of 124,515 units or 16.8 percent, and production increase on the same month of the previous year for nine consecutive months.
Truck sales for the month reached 110,846 units, up 19,934 units or 21.9 percent. Bus sales reached 9,668 units, up 1,918 units or 24.7 percent
Motorcycle production in July 2010 was recorded as 51,618 units. Compared with the 48,448 units total recorded for the same month of the previous year, this is an increase of 3,170 units or 6.5 percent, and production increase on the same month of the previous year for five consecutive months.
