Tomkins shareholders approve acquisition deal

London - Shareholders of Tomkins have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the acquisition by a consortium of Canadian investors. Tomkins owns the Gates Rubber business, as well as Schrader Electronics, the market-leading supplier of TPMS systems.
The expected timetable for the acquisition remains as set out in the Scheme Document, and it is currently expected that the Scheme will become effective on 24 September 2010.
