Trelleborg Marine buys Japanese distributor
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- Trelleborg Marine Systems has acquired its Japan-based Trelleborg distributor, TMS Japan, bringing it into the Trelleborg Group. The acquisition will see Trelleborg extend its service offering in Japan, adding its smart docking and mooring systems to the range of fender systems currently offered by TMS Japan.
Richard Hepworth, managing director, Trelleborg Marine Systems, commented: The Japanese market is a very quality-driven market, which complements the Trelleborg ethos and our consistent commitment for continued product development and high-quality customer service.
TMS Japans managing director, Hiroshi Muramoto will remain with the company. A marine industry veteran, Hiroshi boasts over 25-years experience in the fender market and will continue to manage the Trelleborg wholly-owned business.
