Daetwyler to supply tunnel seals for Winter Olympics

Schattdorf (Switzerland) -- The sealing solutions of Daetwyler Rubber have successfully qualified for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. High-quality tunnel segment gaskets from Schattdorf are currently being installed in three tunnels near Sochi on the Black Sea near the Georgian border.

Sochi will host the Olympic Winter Games in 2014. A total of 26 kilometers of tunnel will be bored by the time the games start. Tunnel segment gaskets will be needed for some of these tunnels, depending on the construction method.

The first gaskets for Sochi were delivered last year. The high-quality tunnel segment gaskets by Daetwyler Rubber are now being built into three tunnels.
