French surgeons' glove market studied

Dublin, Ireland -- F. Favereau & Associes has published a new report titled, The Hospital Market for Procedure Gloves in France - Trends 2005-2009 . The 22-page report was first published in September 2010 and is available for a price of around Euro 1350, depending on delivery options.
The publishers say, "The hospital market for (sterile) procedure gloves increased from 17.5 million pairs in 2005 to 20.8 million pairs in 2008, although it levelled off in 2009 standing at 20.4 million pairs. Latex gloves represent 95 percent of sales. In recent years, there has been a significant shift from powdered gloves to powder-free gloves. CareFusion and Euromedis are the leading suppliers, with Ansell and Polysem/Didactic accounting for significant shares. Suppliers of lesser importance include Hartmann and EP Medical. "
