Euro Rubber Lines buys Clairoix equipment
ERJ staff report (DS)
Clairoix, France -- Clairoix, France - Euro Rubber Lines, a UK-based rubber equipment specialist, has bought all the contents of the former Continental car tyre factory in Clairoix, France.
Hans van Winkelen, managing director of Euro Rubber said the company already has interest in some of the more attractive equipment - specifically a 620-litre Farrel mixer with gearbox; a series of curing presses and a TSR Roller die from Kobleco.
The plant also contains a series of 2-roll mills; a 48-inch calender line and various other ancillary equipment, all of which can either be sold as-is or refurbished and sold on, said van Winkelen
Other equipment, including nine old tyre building machines. He said they are a bit old, but could be used in a low-cost low output plant, however, it is likely they will be scrapped.
All the equipment has to be out of the Clairoix building by 15 December.
