US consumers think Goodyear is socially responsible

Akron, Ohio -- The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company appears on a list of the 50 best-regarded companies for social responsibility in the US.
Based on a survey of US consumers, Goodyear earned a rating of 74.4, ranking it 32nd on the 2010 Boston College Corporate Social Responsibility Index. Goodyear is the only company in the automotive or tyre industries listed.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Index captures public perceptions about the corporate citizenship, governance and workplace practices of more than 200 companies in the United States.
