Bridgestone wins ISO 9001 for European sales operations
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brussels -- Bridgestone Europe's group of 18 national sales companies has been accredited to the revised standard ISO 9001:2008 by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.
Bridgestone's approach to gaining ISO certification differs from most other major tyre companies as certification is on a European basis rather than by individual sales subsidiary. Bridgestone said this reflects its policy of ensuring all customers receive the same level of service
Takashi Tomioka, SVP Bridgestone Europe Sales & Marketing commented, “ISO 9001 is an important standard which we have held since 1992. Ensuring that our sales companies operate to these stringent requirements provides a systematic and visible way to lead and operate our sales organisations. This allows us to focus on meeting our customers' expectations through consistent products and servicesâ€.
