Rubber mart likely to continue rally
Malaysia - Malaysian rubber prices are expected extend rally next week on tight supply and strong demand from China, according to a 16 Oct report in Business Times of Malaysia.
Dealers said the La Nina weather pattern, which is expected to bring more rain to major rubber producing countries Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand for the rest of the year, would push prices higher.
Heavy rains and cold weather in Hainan, China, have also disrupted production.

Tokyo rubber at two-year high; is it time to sell?
SINGAPORE - Tokyo rubber futures surged to the strongest levels in more than two years this week on lingering production concerns in key countries and strong appetite for tyre grade supplies in Asia. The rally, also inspired by record high Shanghai rubber futures and the prospect of a 13-percent increase in global demand in 2010, pushed up physical prices in Southeast Asia, where tyre grade traded rubber at all time high this week, according to a 17 Oct :press release from Business Recorder in Singapore.
