ERJ staff report (DS)
Lodi, California -- This year, Holz Rubber Company is celebrating its 75th anniversary of its founding. The comapny said it develops innovative solutions, "while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction in such areas as specialty products, custom products, expansion joint products, conveyor products, and custom precision moulded products."
Holz Rubber Company occupies 160,000 square feet of manufacturing space on its seven-acre facility site in Lodi, Calif. Holz Rubber Company serves customers in a variety of industries. Holz Rubber focuses on providing products that require a higher level of know how, allowing it to differentiate itself from its offshore competition.
Holz entered the elastomeric expansion joint market in 1974 when it acquired the assets of Hewitt Robins. Holz has continued to develop the expansion joint line and it is responsible for developing several of the industry standards used today. In 1980, the company used its laboratory and engineering capabilities to work with major oil and gas customers from exploration, "down the hole," to refining using high temperature, high-pressure applications. The company's growth continued during the next two decades, and in 2005 Holz acquired Poly Machine and added precision moulding capabilities to its portfolio of products and services.
