Alan Gent wins Tire Technology award for lifetime achievement

Cologne, Germany -- Last night, the Tire Technology awards were presented to a series of tyre and rubber industry insiders.
In a special award, Dr Alan Gent received a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the tyre indiustry.
Hankook was named tyre manufacturer of the year.
In the environment category, Yokohama Tire won the award for its contributions to forest planting.
Goodyear's Ultragrip Ice was named as Tire Technology of the year.
The Curesense system from Swedish start-up Reosense was named manufacturing innovation of the year.
Oerlikon Saurer was named tyre industry supplier of the year for its twisting lines.
