Technical Foam Services wins UK defence contract
ERJ staff report (DS)
Northamptonshire, UK -- Technical Foam Services has won a new MOD contract for the manufacture of CNC-cut items from a completely non-burning Class O acoustic foam, starting from September 2011.
The black acoustic foam helps to reduce the sound level and noise reverberation inside a new military ground vehicle in off-terrain areas. The wide variety of shapes designed by the UK defence ministry meant they had to be CNC-cut using Technical Foam Services' high specification Cute CAD based machine.
Founded in 1990, Technical Foam Services is an innovative and consumer led industrial foam converting business. Technical Foam Services can offer foam cut to size products such as furniture foams, ink jet foams, sports and leisure forms and more.
