Tokai sets up tech centre in China

Zhejiang, China -- Tokai Rubber has set up an R&D centre for to support its automotive activities in China. The centre will explore rubber and plastics technologies for use in Chinese automotive projects and is named Tokai Rubber & Plastic Technology Center (China) Co., Ltd. It joins Tokai's tech centres in Japan, North America and Thailand as Tokia's fourth global tech centre.
Tokai is investing yen 50 million (euro 440 000) in the centre which has an area of 2500 sq. ft. and is due to begin operations in May 2012.
