ERJ staff report (TB)
Shanghai, China -- More than 400 workers at Kumho Tire Co.'s plant in northeast China ended a three-day strike after the South Korean company agreed to raise wages, according to Automotive News China.
Quoting the Shanghai Daily newspaper, the publication said a Kumho official said workers at Kumho's plant in Changchun city in Jilin Province returned to work after the company agreed to raise wages at its four factories in mainland China.
The company did not disclose the size of the wage increase. Citing an unnamed worker, the China Business News reported that workers earned about $216 a month.
