Michelin confirms Miraton's departure

Clermont-Ferrand, France -- Michelin has confirmed rumours that managing partner, Didier Miraton, 53, is to leave the company from the end of June.
In relinquishing his duties as Managing Partner, Didier Miraton will receive a total severance payment of around euro1.8 million, or around euro820,000 after taxes.
In a brief statement from the company, Michel Rollier, Managing General Partner, paid tribute to Didier Miraton's accomplishments during his years with the Group and thanked him for his dedication to the Group. The company gave no reason for the move, which had not been planned.
