ERJ publisher, Paul Mitchell to retire

London -- Crain Communications Ltd has announced that Paul Mitchell, publisher of European Rubber Journal, is to retire with effect from 19 September 2011.
The staff of ERJ will move from their current offices in London to join their colleagues on Plastics & Rubber Weekly (PRW), European Plastics News (EPN) and the European arm of Plastics News with effect from 18 July. At that time, Steve Crowhurst, publisher of PRW and EPN, and based in Croydon, will take over as publisher of European Rubber Journal. Mitchell will continue with Crain until his retirement date, to ensure a smooth transition.
Mitchell is also publisher of Urethanes Technology International and responsible for the UTECH exhibition series, launched in 1986. Crowhurst will also take on leadership of these activities from 18 July, as all relevant staff also move to the Croydon base. Mitchell will continue on as a consultant for the UTECH series of events.
