Elastomers in defence web-seminar set for Friday

London - The UK Materials Knowledge Transfer Network (MaterialsKTN) is to hold a free web-seminar titled, “Engineering Elastomers in Defence” this Friday 24 June.

The event will take place at the IOM Headquarters in London from 14:00 BST (15:00 in Frankfurt), but will be broadcast free over the web, for those who sign up to the Materials KTN.

Speakers include:

• Mathew Robinson (AWE) "Tailoring the mechanical and thermal properties of PDMS elastomers and foams"
• Steve Shaw (DSTL) "Challenges for Defence Applications"
• Adrian Vaughan (QinetiQ) "Polymers for underwater acoustics"
