US company develops new-style condoms based on silicone rubber
ERJ staff report (DS)
Los Angeles, California -- A US company claims to have developed a new approach to condom manufacture, with the introduction of a brand called the Origami condom. Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. The products are based on silicone rubber.
According to Danny Resnic, the Los Angeles based inventor, "The prototypes are non-rolled, non-latex, non-allergenic, and they were independently tested by the leading microbiology lab."
The range includes condoms for use by men; a female condom for use by women and a range designed for insertion into the anus prior to anal intercourse.
