Hutchinson works with Elevance on renewable additives

Bolingbrook, Illinois -- Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. and Paris-based Hutchinson Worldwide have announced a collaboration to check the use of Elevance's renewable products for use as processing aids in Hutchinson's rubber compounds.

The collaboration will combine the innovation, rubber formulation expertise and manufacturing capabilities of Hutchinson with Elevance's metathesis technology and products to make rubber production more environmentally sustainable and provide an alternative to petroleum-based raw materials.

“Elevance brings renewable products and materials innovation to the rubber industry,” said Benoit Le Rossignol, vice president of material development of Hutchinson. “Elevance's products offer a unique, renewable solution that is of significant interest to our company's customers.”
