Indian Rubber Board says crop sprays are not damaging

Kottayam, Kerala, India -- Spraying of Bordeaux mixture and Copper Oxy Chloride (COC) in rubber plantations to manage monsoon diseases is of no harm; said India's Rubber Board. The comments come after concern over possible environmental damage by te sprays.
The IRB added that Fungicides such as Carbendazim (Bavistin), Mancozeb (Indofil / Dithane M-45) used against Corynespora disease and Tridemorph (Calyxin), Propiconazole (tilt) used against root diseases can be used as per the recommendation of Agricultural Officers.
