Freudenberg sells Actuator unit to partner

Weinheim, Germany -- Freudenberg has agreed .to transfer its actuator business to EKK EagleIndustry Co. Ltd. The agreement concerning the business unit which was formerly a division of Freudenberg NOK Mechatronics (FNM) took effect on July 1, 2011.
Since 2002, FNM has been a joint venture of Freudenberg and Japanese company NOK Corporation, the latter of which holds a 30 percent stake in Eagle Industry Co. Ltd. In turn, Freudenberg holds eight percent of the shares in EKK
Apart from actuators to reduce engine emissions, FNM develops and produces mechatronics solutions based on flexible printed circuits. These are used to integrate switches, sensors, LEDs and a wide variety of other mechatronic and electronic components.
