ERJ staff report (LMH)
Trelleborg, Sweden -- Trelleborg Engineered Systems has signed an agreement to acquire the French company Bloch SA, a privately-owned high-end industrial hose solution provider.
The agreement encompasses the acquisition of 60 percent of the business with an option to acquire the remainder, Trelleborg said in a 15 July statement.
The Swedish company said Bloch generates annual sales of about SEK 70 million (Euro 7.6 million) and has about 20 employees working at its offices and production facilities in Lyon, France
“The acquisition of Bloch enables Trelleborg to strengthen its industrial hose offering thus creating the conditions for future growth. We will be able to offer customers complete solutions in selected segments that add value to us and that means better service for our customers,†said Engineered Systems president, Lennart Johansson.
Bloch primarily specialises in complete solutions and special couplings for a wide range of industrial hoses that offer protection in demanding environments, such as chemical processing and the food sector.
The acquisition is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2011.
