Yoga company uses natural rubber for mats

New York - Fitness accessory company Gaiam Inc. has launched a premium yoga mat range made with responsibly sourced materials, including natural rubber.

Gaiam's Sol range includes a number of yoga mats that are made from 100 percent natural rubber, providing resilience and stability, the company said in a 2 Aug press release.

The US company said it is dedicated to providing solutions for healthy and eco-conscious living.

"Gaiam has always had, and will continue to take pride in our leadership role within the yoga community," said company president Bill Sondheim. "Since Gaiam began, we've been at the forefront of working with top yoga talent to create innovative yoga products.”
