Synthos investigating new S-SBR / Nd-BR plant
ERJ staff report (LMH)
London - Synthos SA is understood to be developing plans for a new plant to make Solution-SBR and neodymium-catalysed BR, which is expected to be on stream in the 2015 period. The location, capacity and investment in the plant are not yet known.
ICIS first reported the story on 3 Aug. However when ERJ contacted Synthos, a spokesperson said that the company had not yet made an official announcement. Negotiations for the proposed plant are still in progress.
It is thought that the information came from financial sources rather than the company although Synthos is expected to make an announcement soon.
