CRIA analyses China rubber industry
ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing -- A long analysis of the economic and environmental development of China's rubber industry has been published on the website of the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA).
The report by Deng Yali, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the CRIA, begins by saying the industry faces complex challenges due to increasing raw material prices and volatile markets.
The rate of growth decreased sharply in the first six months of the year, though remained strongly positive. The report said economic uncertainty in the second half is probably worse than in the first half.
Another threat to the industry, said Deng is internatinoal legislatino including EU REACH policieswith respect to tyre extender oils and all other chemicals.
Deng tracked a series of developments around the world which demonstrate an increasing awareness of global issues among Chia's rubber processors.
