Geert Roelens to leave Bekaert

Zwevegem, Belgium -- Geert Roelens, currently Bekaert's executive vice president for global steelcord is to relinquish the position from 1 October 2011, having accepted the post of Chief Executive Officer at Belgian floor coverings company Beaulieu International.

Bekaert has named Frank Vromant, Controller steelcord as interim head of the steelcord activity, and expects to announce a permanent replacement in due course.
