Nexen adds tyre warehouse in Germany
ERJ staff report (DS)
Fulda, Germany -- Nexen Tyre Europe GmbH has opened its own 2,000 m2 warehouse in Fulda, which became operational in August.
The warehouse is designed to hold capacity for up to 50,000 tyres. Approximately 10,000 tyres can be packaged and dispatched every day. Delivery is made according to the quantity ordered by parcel service, either as a group freight delivery or as a lorry load.
The decision to set up the first warehouse in Germany was also a logical conclusion to Nexen's plan to start expanding in the European markets by initially placing emphasis on Germany. Wholesalers and tyre resellers previously had to take delivery directly from Korea or China. Europe-based stock allows delivery time to be shortened from approximately three months to 24-48 hours, promoting customers' confidence in reliable and timely supply.
