Nokian's Winter tyre strategy focusses on central Europe
ERJ staff report (DS)
Nokia, Finland -- Nokian Tyres latest e-newsletter outlines the copany's selling strategy for the Winter tyre season. Much of the company's activity is focussed on the Central European region.
In the Central European market, the focus of the Autumn campaign is the world record on ice driven last winter by test driver, Janne Laitinen. The campaign centres on special skills and expertise in Nordic conditions. It honours the test drivers, the people behind the world's first and world's fastest winter tyres.
Another article says, "Kari-Pekka Laaksonen, Vice President Sales and Logistics at Nokian Tyres, is hurrying to the airport for his first business trip after the summer holidays. His destination is Prague and on the agenda is the winter tyre season. " Laaksonen recognises concerns over production capacity, and the need to ensure that tyres are delivered to all markets in time for the start of the winter season.
