Duesseldorf, Germany -- Lanxess is to phase out the Buna EP name for its EPDM products. From 1 Jan 2012, all Lanxess EPDM products will be sold under the Keltan name, taken from the former DSM Elastoemrs business acquired earlier this year.
The news was announced at Lanxess Rubber day in Duesseldorf on 21 September. Dr. Günther Weymans, Lanxess' Head of Technical Rubber Products said, "we will be marketing our high-performance rubber EPDM exclusively under
the brand name Keltan as of January 1, 2012. The previous name, Buna EP,
will be retired. "
