Hankook to hike US commercial tyre prices
ERJ staff report (TB)
By Tire Business Staff
Wayne, New Jersey -- Hankook Tire America Corp. will raise prices by up to 8 percent on its commercial tire line in the US, effective 1 Nov.
The amount of the price increases will vary by product and size, Hankook said. The Wayne-based subsidiary of South Korea's Hankook Tire Co. Ltd attributed the need for price hikes to the continued high costs of raw materials, energy and transport.
Hankook last raised prices in the US on commercial tyres 1 June by up to 9 percent and before that on 15 March, also by an average of 9 percent.
