Sales jump 31% for Carlisle in Q3

Charlotte, North Carolina - Carlisle Companies has posted net sales of $890.5 million for the third quarter ended 30 Sept 2011, a 31 percent increase from the same period in 2010. Income increased 15 percent to $53.7 million.
The diversified products company designs manufactures and markets a range of products including rubber products used for a variety of niche markets including commercial roofing, mining and construction equipment, and agriculture.
Carlisle said the acquisition of companies, including EPDM-based roofing membranes company PDT Phoenix GmbH, contributed 15 percent in sales.
“Carlisle achieved another quarter of strong sales and overall earnings performance,†said David Roberts, Carlisle CEO. “We expect 2011 full-year sales growth in the mid-20% range and expect 2011 EBIT margins to improve versus last year.â€
