NR prices on the rise again

London - Rubber prices moved upwards at the end of the week. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract crept up by 3 yen to trade around yen 250 ($3.15) on Friday 13 July. Shorter-dated prices rose by slightly less to trade at yen 240 on Friday evening.

In Singapore, the January TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up a couple of cents at $2.94; August prices were higher, trading around $2.92 in evening trading.

In India, NMCE said July prices were a little lower to close at Rs 182 ($3.29). August prices also closed lower at just under Rs 183.

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for July closed a fraction of a yuan higher at Yuan 24.3 ($3.81) per kilo on Friday. August prices were also higher at yuan 24.4.
