Indian Synthetic Rubber joins IISRP

Houston, Texas -- Indian Synthetic Rubber Ltd. has joined the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers.

The company is based in Delhi and is building a plant in Panipat, India, that will have the capacity to produce 120,000 metric tons of emulsion SBR annually when it goes on line this year, the IISRP said. Indian Synthetic Rubber is a joint venture of Indian Oil, TSRC and Marubeni.

The firm is the second Indian SR producer to become a member of the IISRP, which has 50 corporate members that produce about 80 percent of the world's output of SR, according to James L. McGraw, IISRP managing director and CEO.

Sanjaya Bhatnagar, CEO of Indian Synthetic Rubber, will serve as the director representative to the IISRP, and Elangovan Dakshinamurthy will be the alternate.
