Rayong, Thailand - Tokai rubber is setting up a subsidiary in Thailand to make rolls and other products for office equipment such as laser printers and copiers.
The decision marks a further step in Tokai's effort to diversify away from the automotive segment.
The new company is provisionally named Tokai Rubber Chemical and Plastic Products (Thailand) Ltd. It will be located in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Rayong Province, Thailand.The unit is due on stream in February 2014.
The new unit will house a building of 9000 m² in a Factory Area: of 33,000 square meters.
