Lanxess launches 'green' tyre app
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Leverkusen, Germany - Speciality chemicals company Lanxess has launched a new fuel savings calculator that it says shows the economic benefits and environmental effect of 'green' tyres.
The software is available free of charge as an app or online version, and provides a quick and easy answer to three important questions, Lanxess said. Users can see how much money they could save by using fuel-efficient. It also shows how long it takes before the tyres recoup their intitial cost, as well as highlighting the reduction in the car's CO2 emissions?
The software was developed in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich, and was then tested and certified by TÜV Rheinland.
