China NR imports up 14% in 2012

Bangkok -- China's natural rubber imports in August rose 5 percent year-on-year to 210 000 tonnes and were up 23.5 percent from July, according to an 11 Sept news release from the International Rubber Consortium (IRCo). The total import for the first eight months of the year rose 13.7 percent from the same period a year earlier to reach 1.37 million tonnes, IRCo reported the the General Administration of Customs as saying.
