Yokohama to show OTR tyres, conveyor belts at MINExpo
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd will participate in MINExpo International 2012, the world's largest mining equipment exhibition, to be held 24-26 Sept in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Yokohama will display a total of 17 off-the-road (OTR) models of large-size radial tyres for mining and construction vehicles, along with an array of conveyor belts, as part of a drive to increase its presence in the mineral resources development market.
OTR tyre displays will include two debut products - the "RL45" and "RL51" - and also show a new size of the "RB42" radial tyre for rigid dump trucks. With increased overall wear and cut resistance and traction, the "RB42" is designed to respond on a wide range of surfaces, from soft or loose surfaces such as mud and sand, to rough surfaces comprised of gravel and rocks, Yokohama said.
Yokohama will also show its conveyor belt portfolio which is says is integral to the continual export of extracted materials at mining sites. At MINExpo, the company will show its "PROTEX" belt with better cut and shock resistance, as well the energy-saving "ECOTEX" belt.
