New agreement aimed at offering “value-adding” services for Hutchinson customers in the region
Singapore – Hutchinson SA and aircraft maintenance specialist Singapore Component Solutions have signed a memorandum of understand (MoU) to work jointly on the development of component repair offerings in Asia-Pacific.
Singapore Component Solutions is a joint venture between Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance and Sabena technics, and combines the two companies’ maintenance technologies to support customers in the region.
As part of the partnership, Singapore Component Solutions will be appointed as “the only approved” repair station for Hutchinson in the region, the French components maker announced 25 Nov.
In addition, the two parties will combine their respective skills to offer “value-adding” maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) services for Hutchinson products, starting early 2021.
Capabilities will include engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) vibration isolation systems, engine component repairs, cabin interior, and composite and structural repairs, according to Hutchinson.
“We are proud to bring our expertise to a major OEM such as Hutchinson, allowing both companies to develop jointly our repair network and capabilities in Asia,” said Thibaut Campion, CEO of Singapore Component Solutions.
The partnership, according to Hutchinson aerospace service head Norbert Langlois, is aimed at expanding the French group’s business in Asia and offering repair and overhaul services to customers in the region.
