Malaysian NR producer FGV eyes European, US markets

Hertford, UK – Malaysian natural rubber producer FGV Rubber Industries Sdn Bhd has entered into a partnership with UK-based Rubber Heart to expand its presence in Europe and North America.

The partnership will involve "the marketing and sales" of FGV's various grades of high-quality Technically Specified Rubbers and other speciality NR-based materials in Europe and North America, the Hertford-based agency announced 2 Oct.

According to Rubber Heart, FGV is one of Malaysia’s top Standard Malaysian Rubber (SMR) producers with four factories throughout the country. 

The company is also claimed to be the sole producer of “quality” green rubbers ENR25, ENR50 and DPNR in Malaysia. 

“Our initiative to expand our customer base in Europe and North America requires a representative who knows our products” said Syed Mahdhar Syed Hussain, chief operating officer of FGV Holdings Berhad’s plantation sector. 

Rubber Heart and its two directors, Gail Reader and David Cawthra, he went on to say, have “years of experience" working with Malaysian companies and more have in depth knowledge of the rubber industry.
