China advances tire labelling; Linglong performs well

System has been adopted by brands under 27 manufacturers in over 1,000 product grades
Beijing – China’s tire labelling system has been adopted by brands under 27 manufacturers such as Linglong, Doublestar Sailun and Pirelli in over 1,000 product grades.
Linglong has the highest number of tire grades in the system, followed by General Science and Prinx Chengshan, said China Rubber Industry Association.
Linglong also has the highest number in C1 category. Nearly a third tires grades in this category has achieved at least B class in both rolling resistance and wet grip. Brands meeting such standards include Linglong, Zhongce Rubber’s Chaoyang, Sentury’s Landsail, Pirelli and Maxxis.
In particular, Linglong’s rolling resistance performance has reached A class, said the Association.
General Science has the highest tire grade number in C3, where 2% of the tires grades has achieved at least B class in both rolling resistance and wet grip. Doublestar, Guizhou Tyre and CST have reached B class in rolling resistance alone; Linglong, Jinyu and General Science have reached A class in wet grip.
