French distributor targets South African market as well as neighbouring countries
Paris – French speciality chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan has established a new subsidiary, Safic-Alcan Southern Africa, to serve the South African domestic market and its neighbouring countries.
Based in Johannesburg with local warehousing, the new subsidiary is headed by Ronald Marshal, a polymer engineer.
As general manager responsible for sales & development, Marshal will initially be in charge of the South African performance products market, including polyurethane, rubber & plastic and CASE (connected, autonomous, share, electric) mobility.
Prior to his current role, Marshall held technical, sales and business development positions with local companies such as Kluber Lubrication and Dunlop Africa.
“We are delighted with the opening of this new subsidiary in Johannesburg. We will bring innovative solutions to local customers, and serve our existing and future principals in the best possible way,” said Philippe Combette, CEO of Safic-Alcan.
