Marco Tronchetti Provera reinstated as executive vice chairman and chief executive officer
Milan, Italy – Pirelli & C. SpA’s recently appointed board of directors met for the first time on 22 June, the company has announced without confirming whether or not the meeting was virtual.
The new board was nominated during an 18 June shareholders meeting, which proposed to reinstate Marco Tronchetti Provera as executive vice chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) and Ning Gaoning as chairman for a three-year period to end of 2022.
Under the new board structure, Trochetti will continue to carry out the operational management of Pirelli while Ning Gaoning will continue the legal representation of the Italian tire maker.
Other members of the board include Yang Xingqiang, Bai Xinping, Wei Yintao (independent), Domenico De Sole (independent), Giovanni Tronchetti Provera, Zhang Haitao, Fan Xiaohua (independent), Marisa Pappalardo (independent), Tao Haisu (independent), Carlo Secchi (independent), Giovanni Lo Storto (independent), Paola Boromei (independent) and Roberto Diacetti (independent).
Former directors Giorgio Luca Bruno, Laura Cioli, Ze'ev Goldberg and Cristina Scocchia have left the board, according to Pirelli.
