Corgom reaches project values with an output of more than 20 tires per hour
Trento, Italy – Italian tire retreading and recycling business Corgom srl has launched a multi-year investment plan which involves renewing its entire reconstruction process using technology from Tyre Retreading Machinery (TRM).
In the first phase of the project, the Corato, southern Italy-based retreader installed an Eagle Truck 2500 machine, which has been billed as “the fastest and most reliable buffer available on the market.”
The new equipment has helped Corgom reach its project values with an output of more than 20 tires per hour, said a 25 May statement by TRM.
Eagle Truck 2500 features three real buffing axles and the buffing head unit hangs from the structure. The machine, according to TRM, is highly reliable and requires minimum maintenance as it has no moving parts on the ground subject to rubber dust.
The first phase of the upgrade project also saw the installation of an autoclave with 18 positions and the technological upgrade of the existing autoclave.
“All the machines supplied are full compliance with the Industry 4.0 requirement and therefore enjoy the tax benefits provided by the Italian government for this type of machine,” the statement noted.
TRM said it will, in the future phases, supply other machines necessary to complete the process, but did not elaborate further.
Based in the Italian province of Trento, TRM is part of Italian Marangoni SpA and manufactures machines and production lines for the retreading of passenger car, truck, OTR and aircraft tires.
