Online courses include play-educational activities for children and psychological support to staff
Milan, Italy – Pirelli & C. SpA has launched a ‘strictly-online’ welfare initiative for its employees and their families to support them through the Covid-19 emergency.
The online courses include play-educational activities for children; yoga, pilates and workout sessions as well as ‘mindfulness practices’ for psychological support, Pirelli announced 22 May.
The move aims to engage employees with “new mode of work,” help them manage their families and prepare them for the gradual return to activities.
As part of the scheme, the Italian tire maker said it has launched the “Pirelli smart kids” programme to help parents manage their children.
The weekly online “edutainment” activities include creative workshops, English lessons and technology and innovation modules, Pirelli added.
In addition, the tire maker is also offering its employees some Cycl-e electric bicycles to encourage “sustainable mobility” and facilitate the home-office commute.
The initiative is a pilot test for the development of the programme on a large scale, according to Pirelli.
