Company employs 1,200 hourly workers at the plant in Clarksville, Tennessee
Clarksville, Tennessee – Hankook Tire & Technology has resumed production at its tire plant in Clarksville, the company has announced.
According to a company spokesperson, the plant officially opened on 20 April, having been idled since 30 March.
Around 1,200 hourly workers are employed at the plant in Clarksville, which Hankook opened in 2017.
During the time it was temporarily shut down, Hankook's US warehouses, including the one located at the Tennessee plant, operated as normal.
The Hankook spokesperson also said its plants in Asia also supported the US region, as needed, by providing production assistance, shipment and supply of raw materials to avoid any interruption in sales.
