Trelleborg adding automotive parts plant in Morocco

London – Trelleborg is planning to build a production plant for automotive boots in Kenitra, near the Moroccan capital of Rabat, the Swedish group has told ERJ.

Construction work is about to start on the facility and “if everything goes well,” Trelleborg expects the plant to be ready by the end of the year, said spokeswoman Karin Larsson in a written statement 8 April.

Trelleborg did not disclose further details on the investment size or the production capacity of the plant, but said the unit will be located in the Atlantic Free Zone, where other major automakers have manufacturing bases.
