Two Hanover-based companies join forces to supply performance belt to farming industry
Hanover, Germany – German agricultural machinery and equipment distributor Menke Agrar has reached an agreement with ContiTech AG for the sale of the company’s drive belts.
Part of the Agravis Group, Menke Agrar is one of the top independent providers of replacement parts and accessories for agricultural machinery, with sales channels in Germany and the rest of Europe, ContiTech said in a 19 Feb statement.
The Hanover-based distributor registered sales of €6.6 billion in 2019, according to ContiTech.
The company will be distributing Continental’s Agridur portfolio of belts, which are specifically made for the agricultural sector and were launched in 2016.
The belts, ContiTech said, are primarily produced at the company’s site in Hanover and include a broad range of products such as wrapped V-belts, banded V-belts, variable speed belts, and poly-V-belts.
“We are opening up new options for the market and untapped potential for both companies by combining our partner’s sales network with our technological expertise,” said Rodrigo Maia, head of the drive system industrial business unit at Continental.
