The 12,000sq campus built in response to “constant growth in its production and sales for several years”
Troy, Michigan – US engine products and drive systems supplier Dayco is expanding in South America with the construction of a new production plant and headquarters in Indaiatuba, in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.
The move will improve the company’s distribution, production and technological capabilities in South America and support its fast-growing aftermarket business in the region, Dayco said in a 2 April statement.
The new 12,000-square-metre "state-of-the-art" facility, which adopts smart factory principles, is being built in response to “constant growth in its production and sales for several years,” Dayco added.
The new facility will bring manufacturing, logistics, engineering and corporate departments under one roof in Brazil, generating greater synergy between regions and making processes more agile.
