Conveyor belt manufacturer announces temporary shutdowns, reviewing US operation
Lisburn, UK – Conveyor belt producer Smiley Monroe is scaling back production due to the global outbreak of Covid-19, the company announced 24 March.
The Lisburn, Northern Ireland-based manufacturer has temporarily closed its production facility in Hosur India for 21 days and is idling all its sites in Northern Ireland for 21 days as of 27 March.
The company said it is reviewing the developments in the US before making any decisions on the temporary closure of its factory in Kentucky.
