Clermont-Ferrand, France – Michelin is to temporarily close its production facilities in the European countries “most affected so far by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.”
Without specifying which of the group’s 25 plants in Europe were affected, Michelin said the shutdowns would last for at least a week as part of efforts to protect its workforce in the region.
The French group is “taking all the measures required to safeguard the health of its employees, in close cooperation with local authorities in every host country,” added its 18 March announcement.
